Premiere Pro CS6- New Audio Setup Part 1
The audio track setup in Premiere has been completed reworked in CS6. Stereo and mono tracks are no longer, having been totally replaced by standard tracks, that can hold both stereo and mono audio. In addition to the new track behavior, Premiere Pro CS6 has been given a new audio meter that is scalable to be anywhere from tiny to as large as full screen.
In this video I go over how to use standard tracks and some big issues with using dual mono audio instead of stereo. If you keep your workflow set to the defaults and treat stereo audio as stereo, you’ll be ok. However, there are some big catches with the current dual mono implementation. Overall, minus this limitation, the new track setup is a major advancement over Cs 5.5, making your editing simple, logical, and painless.
