Premiere Pro CC – September 2017 IBC Announcement
In this video we talk about the updates just announced at IBC, September 2017. While Premiere is heralding some new immersive VR workflows, we gloss right past that and talk about some features that the majority of us will use on a daily basis.
We start off with the changes to the essential graphics panel, including a new font preview list, object and text pinning features, and rolls.
Then we delve into what we consider the most significant features in this release, the support for having multiple projects open at the same time. We talk about save and close commands as well as things like project settings and using the project manager.
Then we talk about the addition of shared projects, which act sort of like bins in Avid. These allow for different subprojects to all be stored inside of a master project. So let’s say you are an editor working on a film, and there are other editors working on different scenes, you can all have each other’s subprojects (think shared bins) with different permissions set for who can read/write vs. who can just read and refresh changes.
Check out the video for the full details on all of these fronts!
